On the 5th of April, 2006, the Association of Building Consultants and Supervision Companies was established (abbreviation ABCSC – Lith. SKIPA) Present Lithuania is on a wave of the fast economical development. Prognosis of sustained development of economics shows that our country, which is a member of the European Union, has huge possibilities for a long – term expansion. Constructional activity is one of the main and traditional branches of Lithuanian economy. The majority of Lithuanian residents work in this sector and a large percentage of gross domestic product is created by it. Constructional recovery creates favorable conditions of growth of the other services related with building. The objectives to consolidate companies which provide engineering, technical building consulting, constructional audit (building practice), technical supervision of constructional works of building, its projection and constructional management, expertise of projects and buildings; to help companies solve their economical, juridical, financial problems and represent them at the state and government institutions, take part in preparing juridical certificates, notes and regulations; to create more favorable business conditions, to defend rights, liberty and lawful interests of the members of Association and to prompt cooperation, training and competitive ability among the members; to cooperate the efforts looking for possibilities at the local and the foreign markets, share building experience gained abroad, work with foreign investors in Lithuania, help companies find possibility to use not only the norms of Lithuania but of the other countries of the European Union as well; to cooperate with the similar organizations of other countries, organize vocational trainings of the members of Association and provide with consultations; to be engaged in lobby and form positive opinion about engineer – consultant as one of the main participants in building business, professional supply of services and use, motivated companies, working at this sphere, to establish the Association.
The Association of Building Consultants and Supervision Companies was established by the six legal persons (companies) of the Republic of Lithuania. On the 5th of April, 2006, the association was registered into the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Lithuania.
The Association is a public legal person of limited civil responsibility, non profit making organization. The main governing body of the Association is general meeting of the members. A Directorate of six members, which sets the main activity directions, deputes director of the Association and implements decreed decisions, was elected for one year period. Our members are the leading companies of their own sphere at the building market which work according to FIDIC and EU requirements and provide such kind of services as engineering, technical building consulting, constructional audit (building practice), technical supervision of constructional works of building, its projection and constructional management, expertise of projects and buildings. The Association pays much attention to create benevolent and harmonious relationship with the society, concedes the Codex of Ethics of FIDIC - the International Association of engineers and consultants and has its own Codex of Ethics. Association invites all companies engaged in building consulting and supervision to work collectively. |
